I don't remember the exact details but I do know that I messed up the order. I placed an order and the payment didn't go through so I re-placed the order - this went on for some time and I ended up with two identical computers on order (totally my fault). You were really helpful in sorting out the difficulties and canceling the duplicate. Once we had sorted out the confusion, the laptop was delivered very quickly and my daughter is delighted with it. You always responded to my e-mail queries promptly and I was very happy with the service you provided.

You have asked for 100% honesty so I would say that I tried to phone you a couple of times and got an answer machine which suggested I e-mail you. We middle aged types do actually like to be able to talk to someone in person. We got it sorted out by e-mail but I should have preferred to talk to you.

Incidentally, if you are looking for customer friendly tips, look at the signature, not the bank details! Fay is my first name but my e-mails are either F.J.Pearson (as in Mrs Pearson) or Jo Pearson . If anyone phones to speak to Fay Pearson, we immediately assume they have bought a list and hang up!

I recently purchased a laptop from Student Computers and paid for it using the direct transfer method. I was a little unsure at first about using this method of payment, but as their account was with Lloyds TSB and I'm with Lloyds TSB, I assummed that if something went wrong Lloyds would sort it out. However, after my payment went through a representative from Student Computers was in contact with me via email until the laptop arrived. The laptop arrived a couple of days late, but arrived nonetheless.

Found the website through google, very surprised at how cheap the laptops were... Thought it was some sort of con! Chose the right laptop for me and was going to pay by credit card but didnt wanna wait 28 days for delivery and also wanted it delivered to my work so paid by direct transfer, simply by setting up one direct debit transfer, my laptop was delivered to me within 5 days and once they had receieved payment. I had a coujple of queries afterwards regarding the sale and laptop and the aftersales/ customer service was of a high standard. Would certainly recommend.

I was a bit sceptical of using direct transfer as a payment method, having never used it before, but I didn't want delivery of my laptop to be delayed. I had absolutely no problems and my laptop arrived a week after the order was initially placed. However, I wouldn't recommend arranging your direct transfer on the Friday evening of a bank holiday weekend as I did!

All I really have to say is that this payment method is very quick and easy, we personally ran into a couple of problems but that was really our own bank's fault, as soon as the payment was made I'd recieved my laptop within 2 days of recieving postage confirmation! Direct transfer really is the best way to go.

The bank transfer went through smoothly after 3 or 4 days, as expected. The process was simple and all carried out in the timescale described. The goods were then delivered within a day or two of the transfer, and I was kept informed of the situation at all times. A very efficient service.
